Saw the post from Danny Allen Timanus from 08/05/13 who said he was A/3/5 68-69. My father was Sgt. Joseph Whitman (A35) 68-69. Danny, did you know him? would love to hear from you if you did. Thanks for your service.

S. Skinner That whole operation started as a mess. We rolled out of the tracks and the platoon move on to the ron site and sat up for the night. remember Sgt. Mike Kelly that was when he seen the NVR soldier and open up on him with the .50 not thinking about us on the far side of where he was shooting. had us hugging the ground. I don't remember the names of the cherry,s we took out with us, I do remember how scared they were. that night was also the first time I was on a main battle tank when the main gun cut loose it was yours and all I wanted was ammo. 20 claymores and a 1000 7.62x51 the sky went white and green tracers were coming from every.

Ron Corbeille,
How did you know Sgt Eason? Were you in the Bird Dogs?
He and I served together in Schwabach, Germany before Ft Riley and RVN. Great guy and good friend.
