Comments: 3/5 CAV was my first unit when I was a young 18 year old. Served as a Bradley mechanic for B company while deployed to Bosnia from Dec. 1995 to Dec. 1996. Was there as our unit changed from 3/5 CAV to 1/36 INF and moved from Kirchgons to Friedberg. PCSed in1998.
Comments: To all 3/5cav blackknights and who gave their best and beyond.Have a safe Veterans day.

Comments: I was in Vietnam in 1968, landed in Bear Cat. From there, I went on to Saigon, then Camp Evans. I was put in the Black Knights 3/5 calvary. In 1969, we were supposed to be pulled out and go home, but they picked a few of us to join the 3/5 to join the red diamond, and moved us up to the DMZ, spent 3 months there, and had to find my own way back home. I lost a lot of my friends on my trip.

Comments: @ Tom Rothwell, yes there are a few of us boaters still around... Couldn't make it to the Colorado reunion but I'm sure two of my fellow tanker brothers who did attend represented A troop 3rd platoon in an upstanding and sober fashion, as always...LOL Shipped out on the "Rose" from Oakland, Ca in late '66. Made a pit stop in Okinawa where most got tuned up for the rest of the voyage. Busted more jungle and ran into more stinging ants than I care to recall. Had the distinct privilege to light off the first of many 90 mm at Bau Bang. Went thru a lot of 50 and 7.62, most of the cannister and delivered a few HE and WP for good measure. Tank took a few hits but kept on tickin. Was quite fond of that hunk of steel and more importantly my cav brothers...
Comments: Was with A-Trp 3rd Platoon from 1970-1971 if anybody remembers served 2 tours with Blackhorse 11th cav any contact with Ray Parrish or Harold Boggs
