My father was a member of D troop 3/5 cav. From Dec 1967-Dec1968. He was recon. He was shot on april 25th 1968. Along with several other men. He was lucky enough to survive. I am looking for a man who's nickname was " shorty"! He was also shot that day but my father and I were unable to find out whether he survived or was KIA. Unfortunately my dad can not remember his real name just the nickname. I am in search of a D troop roster 3/5 cav. From Jan 1968. So we can search for him. If he was KIA. My father wants to find his name on the "wall". But if by some miracle he survived. And is still alive. My father would very much like to talk to him. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I served with A Troop,67-68 out of Bearcat.This is my first serious attempt at getting hooked in with proper membership.Anybody out there that can help me with this I would very much appreciate it. 3/5 CAV was my first unit when I was a young 18 year old. Served as a Bradley mechanic for B company while deployed to Bosnia from Dec. 1995 to Dec. 1996. Was there as our unit changed from 3/5 CAV to 1/36 INF and moved from Kirchgons to Friedberg. PCSed in1998.
