My father (Bruce C. Walker) served with D Troop from 1969-70 & 1974-75 cobra pilot. We are attending the Vietnam War Veterans Events in DC 11-13MAY. Will there be a reunion/meet-up during that time?

I was assigned to D Troop, 3rd/5th Cav from June 1968 to April 1970. D Troop was at Bearcat at the time, and in the late fall we moved to Dong Tam. Shortly after I returned in July 1969 from my 30 day free leave for extending 6 months, the 9th Infantry Division was pulled from the country which D Troop, the 3/5 Cav was reassigned to the First Aviation Brigade at Vinh Long. I ETS's April 1970. I spent most of my tour as a cobra crew chief. Tail Numbers 67-15550, 68-15158.

Does anyone have a picture of the 14 track after it was hit by an RPG on April 9, 1970. I was hit by the shrapnel. I have numerous wounds on my back and was knocked out. Before I could get to the foxhole I was hit again by something that got both of my legs. I had the right one amputated below the knee. I'm very lucky to be alive.
