Comments: My brother, Ralph Boyer, was a medic with A/3/5 Cav Mech, in country January - March (possibly April) 1968. Was badly wounded and did not return to the line. He passed late 2021, AO a large contributor to his health issues I have been trying to pin down details of his service. I'd like to hear from anyone who knew him or A troops activities after the boatlift to Da Nang.

Comments: Hello, my uncle served with you. He was Roderick C Jamison. (Rick). Just stopping by to say Thank You to each of you and let you know I appreciate your service. I recall going to his sister's house for the adults to listen to 8mm audio message he sent home. I was too young to join in and listen. Hell, you were all too young to be there but my life has been made available through your sacrifice. I do recall Rick talking about amphibious vehicles .. perhaps just one or two in all of viet Nam while he was there. I also recall seeing a zippy lighter that he said took a bullet in his pocket instead of directly into him. That's about all I know other than the CBS walter Cronkite news stories. If you have any stories about my uncle Rick please email. I'd love to hear them and would share them with Rick's son Denward, aka Danny.

Comments: I served in D Troup 3/5th Air Cav from 1974 to 1975, 16 months. Survived two crashes, CH-47 (special ops) and UH1H on the side of Mt. Rainier. Lost my hearing for 90 days from M2 qualifications. Got attacked by an O-3 Sauerwein at a Team Handball Tourney, he dislocated my left shoulder. Got my rank stripes ripped off by an SFC Brown, later OIC Marvin pinned them back on, and OIC Marvin took him down to SGT. Oh the Karma. The joys of becoming a soldier in the US Army.
