Comments: Ralph Boyer, my brother, was a medic assigned to A troop, 3/5 Cav. He arrived in 'Nam in January 68, left in April after being badly wounded. I joined, and made a career of, the Air Force in part because of his influence. He passed in 2022 from myriad issues, many of which he brought home with him. I doubt anyone remembers him, but he was proud of his unit and was also proud to fly a US Army flag.
Comments: Found this site while trying to figure out something to do for my father. I don’t know if anyone remembers him but his name is Jim Butler, he was in C troop. If memory serves me correctly his first hitch in country was in ‘69.

Comments: Hello,
My father was Russ Knepp. He passed in 2020 and I have some items I'd like to donate to a museum or anything you folks are involved with.
I have a company guide on along with numerous photos.
Some may know him from reunions.
Any contact would be appreciated.

Comments: Just surfing the net tonight … on this memorial weekend … I looked at few Charlie Troop photos … having said that I’m wondering if there is anyone out there that survived the night of April 18, 1969. “LEST WE FORGET” Danny Miller F/Sgt. USAF Retired
Comments: Paul Stone passed away last Night at the Center Point hospital in Independence, Mo. He had COPD and heart failure. He was born in 1950 and was 73 and graduated from Van Horn HS in Independence, Mo in 1968. He was drafted and was in Vietnam in the 70-71 time frame. He was in B-troop. He was at the last reunion and was wheel chair bound at the time. He went in the hospital about a week ago. I saw him last Thursday. He is survived by his wife Joyce. They were together since around 1999.
Comments: As you may be aware, several months ago we opened a new website that serves as a locator for the memorial at Ft. Benning/Ft. Moore. The new website address is the same as the original website with the exception of it ending in (.us). In addition, to being a paver locater, we have added a Wall of Honor, a History of the Cavalry, a Guestbook, and several Links that take you to our original website, related websites, and to other pertinent information. While the original Gust book remains available, we invite you to visit the new (.us) site, make entries in the new Guestbook, and utilize the "Contact Us" Section for any questions that you may have.

Comments: I'm the son of 1SG Gordon F. Hadley. We were stationed at Ft. Riley, Ks, when the 9th ID packed out for Vietnam, departing in Jan. 1967. He was the 1SG of, I believe, E Trp, 3/5th Cav and was stationed at Bear Cat. He returned stateside in December 1967(about the 23rd), after escorting the body of his Company Clerk, Specialist Grimes home. Sadly, 'Top' passed away December 21, 2012 from cancer, attributed to Agent Orange. He is missed!
