Comments: I just found out that Larry Norrell passed away on April 23, 2023. Larry was a medic with the 3/5 cav 1st platoon C troop. He was in Vietnam in 1970. He saved my life on April 9, 1970. I think he was wounded May 28, 1970 and sent home. From what I understand he was haunted by the memories of the war. He was truly a hero.

Comments: I rode with C Trp in 67/68. I hate getting old. Every time I look I hear about someone I knew is gone or the years are catching up with them. I am no different. I had reservations for the reunion but had to cancel at the last minute. Every time I start to recover from one thing, another thing goes to hell. I don’t know for sure but I think the organ donor program is starting to rethink having me on their list. I haven’t heard much from how the reunion went. Please let us know how everything was. Miss you all Tom Wolske
Comments: This Memorial Day Weekend I'm thinking of all from the 3/5 cav. My father was SFC Joseph A. Whitman (Pappy) and served with A troop 68-69 as platoon sgt. up in I corps area (Wunder Beach, Hue, A-shau, camp evans, etc.). My prayers to the families of those who were lost and best wishes & respect to those who came back...Lest We Forget.
Comments: I took photos of most of the tables at the 2023 reunion banquet. I have posted them on my web site. If you want the link let me know. John Osgood
Comments: My father was Jim “Shookie” Shook Leveille, who served in Troop C in ‘68-‘69. It has been an amazing experience to see him in pictures here. I also spent my childhood hearing stories of all of his brothers but knowing there was one night he never talked about which changed his life and informed how he was the rest of his life, as a parent, a partner, a human. He had tremendous survivors guilt. I read that it must’ve been whatever happened on 4/18/69. God bless all of you, those who didn’t survive and especially those who did. Thank you for sharing your stories. My dad has been gone for 7 years, it’s nice to feel close to him.
Comments: 18 April 1969, 54 years ago today was a really bad and sad day for C Troop and all of 3/5 Cav. Let's remember those that were killed, wounded, snd haunted by that night. Even though I did not arrive at the troop until 3 months later I am still bothered by the events and losses of that night. For all those involved be at peace my brothers in arms.
