Comments: William Bradberry was the 3/5 Cav squadron commander for most of my year in Vietnam. He was a tireless and effective leader. More importantly, he was always putting the needs and welfare of his troops first. There were few days when he was not seen in the field inquiring about the quality of the food, the status of supply, or the morale of the men. His good humor and and concern were felt up and down the chain of command. In every sense, Bill Bradberry was an officer and a gentleman and I'm proud to have served with him. Comments: I was assigned to HHQ Troop, but was always assigned to either B or C Troop with Hq'S 104 5-Ton Gasoline Truck, maybe some of you remember me pumping by hand on top of the tanks to Fuel the PC's, before the motorized pumps were installed ?? I had the Pleasure of Sailing The High Seas on The USNS UPSHUR To Get To Vietnam With Many of You.
Comments: I just read about Col Bradberry. He was Sqd Commander when this young 2nd Lt came into country. I would just like to say there are a few individuals in your life who make you feel confident that they will be there for you and cover your back should you ever need help. He and a certain * * * Troop Capt whom I shall call the "Hulk" were those two people in my service life. Myself and 2nd Plt were better off for having these officers guide us. Thank you Col Bradberry and thank you Capt Bachman. You both gave us strength. Bill Gibbs 26 C Troop Jan - Aug 1970,
