I was with A troop from 6/69 to 8/70, and drove track 2-3 for seven months before becoming the 3/5 XO's driver. Does anyone remember or even heard about us attacking and destroying Hamburger Hill around late July '69?

Memorial Day, 2020

I served with B Troop and HHT, 70-71 and live in Crescent City, California these days. Our local newspaper listed a BIA from D Troop, 3/5 Cav as a local KIA. He was killed on May 12, 1969, however he is not listed on this site under the D Troopers KIA in RVN.

He was Warrant Officer Howard Earl Cramblet of Crescent City, California. When I find his grave in our small town cemetery it will be my honor to recognize his grave on Memorial Day and Veteran's Day with a flag.

Any information on this Brother in Arms D Trooper would be helpful, and next Memorial Day I will remember and speak of his sacrifice for this country and freedom next Memorial Day at our remembrances at the cemetery and Vet's Hall dinner. I imagine by his rank he was a chopper pilot.

Admin reply: Go to the main web-site and select Wall Of Honor and Cramblet name is there...Hope this helps.

I served with Delta company 3/5 cab in 93 to 96 as a private j. KG Germany. I also served with Aco 1/5 cav out of Ft hood TX. I wanted to ask if there is any way for new members join that we're not in Vietnam. I have spent 12 years in the Army and out of those 12 years of servis 8 of those were with the 5th Cav. In my heart I'm a black knight for life. May please be with all my brother both past and present for with out you I would not. God bless and loyalty and courage
