Comments: It was a Honor to be allowed read the names of our KIA's from the year of 1967. I will admit it was hard to read those names and I could see faces of some of them as I read the name. I recognized many troopers at this reunion and enjoyed seeing them. I may have long hair but I am still on the same page as all of the Troopers with the 3/5 Cav known as The Black Knights. We did our job and Charlie did not like us

Comments: I was the Commander of A Troop from end of June 1969 to November 1969. Took commend of the Troop while in the A Shau Valley. We remained there until a typhoon brought such a large amount of rain 1 September that we had to get out of the valley before the road in over the mountain was washed away. Took us about 10 days. We made it out...mostly and then went up to the DMZ attached to 1-11 Infantry of the 5th Mech. It would be nice to hear from someone who served there with me. Beaumanis, are you out there?

Comments: I was in Dong Ha, with HHT 3/5 Cav, and attached to C-Troop end of Dec. 1970 running supplies back and forth during "Operation Lam Son 719", or that's the way I remember that operation. We built what was later called "The Yellow Brick Road" up to Khe Sanh. we headed cross country at the "Rock Pile". I left country in Oct. 1971.
Comments: I just met James T (Jim) Smith a 68-69 3/5 with Bravo troop. He is looking for SSG Bert Sample. Jim will check out the guest book and hope someone knows how to contact Bert. I don't have either one on our roster. I will send Jim's info to the get him on our roster.

Comments: Welcome Home all Vietnam veterans! Today is Vietnam War Recognition Day.
I was a 3/5 Cav B Trooper, 70-71, now in Crescent City, CA.
Yesterday I located the grave of 3/5 Cav D Trooper Howard Earl Cramblet, KIA 5/12/1969 when his OH61 LOACH exploded in Kien Hoa Provence. Cramblet was the pilot. I will place flags on his grave henceforth.
If anyone knew Cramblet in country, I would appreciate you getting in touch with me so I may better honor him in our newspaper. I'm on the current roster.
