Fellow Troopers, it is my sad duty to report the passing of the A Troop Representative Roger Festa. He passed of a heart attack while on a business trip in Texas. Roger was my Platoon Leader in 1967 and was a true friend. Arrangements are pending,burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. Please keep his wife Ann and family in your prayers. With great sadness and grief I regretfully write to you, to inform you of the passing of my father one of your brothers who made sure to have me know about the pride he has in you and his military expierence. Jerry Leroy Hill 3/5 cav, 9th inf. dischared due to injury in action Dec. 4th 1968, died friday may 6th 7:30pm 2010. I'm sorry about your loss I know he meant to you as he did to me. William A Hill

I always told you guys that someday your grand kids are going to ask you what you did during the war and you can tell them something that anyone would be proud to have done. I know all of you feel proud because you had the guts to answer your country's call. Corny? Yeah, but it's true.
How many of us would do it all over again?

Puttin my 2 cents worth in. Still lookin for the people who had the the nuts to ride with me. How bout the Scout section, Sgt Gutterize rings a bell.La Bonte, mortor section, Carter, tank section, Chaffins,1st plt. I think, Sanborn, stuck with me.
