Comments: Puttin my 2 cents worth in, today is flag day, mine flies year round at the house. Today I put up a new one and took the old one to work and flew it next to my desk. The crew I deal with looked at it and me , like a relic of a bygone era.I guess I must be gittin old. I was going to take my Cav. flag in and fly it also. Didn't do it because I wanted to see it when I drove back home. It was a good feeling driving past the house.Pride, remembering what I and so many went through. Now almost 50 years later, I see a new generation of people dealing with what so many of us went through and it bothers me. A friend of mine has a son 25 years old , did 3 tours in Irac. Only because he got pretty messed up in the looks department on the the first tour and felt he didn't have anything to offer anyone. He wanted to go back and got hurt again, went again. Now, at 25, retired by the service, he ponders what to do! He and his dad came by this past weekend to try and help "me" get my due. Can you possibly imagine how I want to let this youngster know that their are people out there that care. He won't listen, did you? If you get a chance, please try and let the younger ones know that they still have friends that remember. My Cav flag fies again tomorrow.

Comments: Hey guys, there it is... I feel like I have amnesia from the whole war! Was gunner on Plt Sgt's M48 then TC of Plt Sgt's 551 when when got one who didn't like tanks. I don't even remember if I was in 2nd or 3rd Plt (7 more years in the Army afterward has blurred unit distinctions). Arrived 10/69 and left 10/70. Anyone remember me? Remember faces but not names for the most part...
Comments: John Dolan, Hey welcome back home, man the name I do know but I can't put a face on it. I will send you an e-mail so we can hook up better along with every one else
