Comments: Once again I'm here to inform you of another brothers passing Terry Johnson went to Fiddlers Green Thursday evening January 24, 2018 at the age of 66. Terry died of an apparent heart attack while relaxing on his sofa with his feet up, Terry was an artillery FO serving with the 2nd Platoon of C Troop from August 1970 - August 1971 and was awarded the Silver Star for heroism along with 3 Purple Hearts. He was a long time member of the "Black Knights, Association." Services will be held at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 W. Hoff Road, Elwood, IL 60421. We don't have exact date and time yet. In lieu of flowers, you are welcome to make contributions in Terry's honor to the 3rd Squadron 5th Cavalry Memorial Fund. Comments: Brothers I'm here again with sad news Doc. White has passed on to Fiddlers Green. I received word from a mutual friend that Jack Gilbert (Gil) White died suddenly on Sunday evening at about 8:30 pm of an apparent coronary. Gil was a medic and he worked with C Troop quite a bit and also A Troop during his tour which was in 68 thru 69. Comments: Was with the 3/5th Nov 77 through May 79 Ft. Lewis, WA. Loved flying in those helicopters. Learned a lot working as the communications and training NCO.
What happened to the 3/5 Air Calvary units?
Only person left that I ever see from those days is Nick Eden,Cpt.
Currently Volunteer Firefighter & Semi Retired Accountant/Design Engineer living on Lake Roosevelt near the Canadian Border.
