I was in A troop Sept/67 -Jan31/68 3 months in Japan in hospital. Friend of Larry and Glenn Wells.
Mr. Block Are you former SSg Block from A troop?
If so I am the guy who blew a claymore accidently
During a cease fire early in 68 I think. Gee that detonater shorted out when I tossed it up on the cupola .... The way i got chewed out you would have thought I had done something real stupid( well yeah)
like ..whatever. I never forgot the Cav , it gives you an attitude and a way of looking at life.

Hey, Rick Bjorgum. How you doing guy? Glad to see you found this web site. For the rest of you B troopers, Rick was one hell of a driver on the 6 track in 68/69.

Hi guys. I was in B Troop, mostly on the 24 track in 68-69. Don't remember most of the names anymore. Remember Hippy, and a few others. I am the one of the two soldiers that carried the 5 crew members out of the flaming ammo dump at LZ Vandergriff after it crashed there setting the whole dump on fire. If anyone remembers me or wants to get in touch, leave me a message here. I'll come back on and post an email. If you don't remember me, that's OK too. Thanks to all for what we did there, and what we had to endure when we returned.

Wow, can hardly believe it, Dan Baranczyk. Mortars. Good to see you on here. I was on 25 + was Lt. Smrtic, and Johnsons driver. Till now, since I found this site, I've only recalled the people of 22, 27 plt. sgt. I remember Doc, you, Poncho, Geronimo, Hocevar, Harp, Duffy, Weekly.
Talked to Jon Smrtic father. He was a LTC, and instructor at West Point
